The GSport Birdcage rim is made from 6061-T6 aluminum to keep the strength high, weight low and price affordable. The nipple holes are angled for cross lacing to better distribute the spoke load and the valve hole is offset so that there is not a large hole through the load bearing center of the rim. Hollow beads further reduce rotational weight without compromising strength.
