The Blackburn Core Mini Pump looks almost identical to its Slim brother. But it differs in one dimension. The barrel diameter. The barrel here is 25mm in diameter versus 21mm on the Slim. That adds air per stroke, but it also increases resistance. So fewer pump strokes, but more effort per stroke to get to the same pressure. Its also a bit shorter at 228mm compared to 247mm

The stronger-armed among us might want this to get up to pressure faster on road tires. But for most, the difference is better appreciated when dealing with larger width tires that need lower pressure. This pump is better suited to 30mm road tires or wider, cross/gravel tires, and mountain bikes. It will also fit in a smaller space in a bag.

Otherwise, its the same pump. The Core shares the same bike mount as the Slim.
It has a hose that hides inside the pump when not in use. At the end of the hose is a screw-on Presta valve head. It is built to last; not only is there a lifetime warranty, but Blackburn makes pump parts available so you can rebuild if youve worn it out.
