We’re beyond stoked thattheseEclat Seismic Cassette Hubshave finally come to fruition. This revolutionary hubutilises a new internal mechanism known as TCS (Toothed Coupling System), which Eclat have had in the lab for the past several years, seriously, this has been a labour of love and the end result looks and sounds absolutely ‘splenfabulous’ (so good it was worth inventing a word for)…

Taking inspiration from the highest endroad and mountain bike hubs, Eclat have managed to re-design this system to work inside a BMX cassette hub with a 14mm axle and a 9t driver, the outcome is the smoothest, fastest and most reliable hub possible… The Seismic hub doesn’t use the typical spring and pawl cassette hub system, and instead featuresx2 coupled toothed ratchet rings, which are inside the hub and the driver. The two rings are pushed together with a very special design of spring, which allows the hub to transfer power in one direction, and freewheel in the other.

To put things simply- this isa much stronger internal mechanism, thesecant fail even after years of heavy use, so say goodbye tothathub skipping, slipping or scaring you with hectic clicking, you’ll finally be able tocrank this thing as hard you want and trust it won’t give. Even after years of heavy use, this hub was designed to keep going on and on.
